The show Topics in Current Chemistry presents critical reviews of their present and future trends in modern chemical research. The range of policy in all aspects of chemical science including the interfaces with related disciplines like biology, medicine and materials science. The objective of each thematic quantity is to provide the non-specialist reader, whether, in academia or industry, an extensive insight into a region where new research is emerging that is of interest into a larger scientific audience.
Each review within the quantity critically surveys one particular facet of that subject and places it within the context of the quantity as a whole.
The most critical developments of the previous 5 to 10 years have been presented using selected examples to illustrate the principles discussed. The policy isn’t intended to be an exhaustive overview of the area or include massive amounts of information, but should preferably be conceptual, concentrating on the methodological thinking which will permit the non-specialist reader to understand the information presented.
Contributions also supply an outlook on possible future developments in the specialty. Readership: study chemists at universities or in industry, graduate students.
